Copy Your Address

How do Substrate addresses work?

A Substrate address is a representation of a public key. Different Chains use different ways to represent this public key. Thats why you see different addresses for the same account across the substrate ecosystem.

Don't worry about using a different chains address when trying to transfer funds between accounts. Talisman will translate those addresses into the right representation and allow your transfer to succeed.

If you are in the small view mode you can find it next to each individual account. It should look like this.

If you are in extended view mode you will find the said icon with a copy labeling as a button directly below your selected account.

As soon as you click any of those buttons that belong to an account a pop up window will show you all available addresses. The chain specific representation of your accounts public key. Click the copy icon a last time next to your desired address and it will be copied to your clipboard.

If you copied your address succesfully a small notification will appear inside the wallet. Confirming your address choice.

In case you only interact with few assets and mostly those that you already have funds of in your account you can left click on an asset in the extended view and click the copy icon without having to pick from the list. Use whatever is more convenient to you.
