Root staking settings in wallet
Talisman allows you to control how your Root staking rewards are received. You can choose whether rewards are automatically converted to TAO or distributed as subnet alpha tokens.
This guide explains how to access and update your Root staking claim settings.
Access Root Staking Claim Settings
Open your Talisman wallet in popup view and open fullscreen view.
Select your desired Bittensor account and click TAO from your list of assets.
Click the gear icon in the TAO asset view to open Root stake claim settings.
Once the Claim Settings modal opens, you will see three reward options:
Receive Rewards in TAO (Default): rewards are converted to TAO and automatically re-staked.
Receive Rewards in Alpha: rewards are kept as subnet alpha tokens across all subnets.
Receive Rewards in Selected Alpha: rewards are kept as alpha tokens for the subnets you specify. The remaining rewards are converted to TAO.
To change your reward setting:
Select your preferred reward type.
Review your selection.
Click Confirm to apply the changes.
5. Your updated claim preference will take effect after confirmation, and will apply to all of your Root stake positions.
You can return to this settings panel at any time to update your reward configuration.
