Adding Custom Tokens
This article explains how to add custom EVM tokens to your Talisman wallet.
Because anyone can create a token on an EVM network, there are thousands of them in circulation. To keep your wallet organized and uncluttered, Talisman only displays widely recognized assets by default. Any additional tokens you want to track must be added manually.
To begin, you’ll need the token’s contract address from a trusted source such as CoinGecko. The contract address uniquely identifies the token across the network. Copy this address to your clipboard—you’ll use it in the steps that follow.

Now that you got your contract address you need to add it to your Talisman wallet. Select the “More” Menu.

Choose “All Settings”.

Select “Networks & Tokens”.

Click “Manage Tokens”.

Click “Add Custom Token”.

Now we have to fill in the required information for the token we want to add.

First, you have to specify the network. In this example we will use Ethereum as we want to use our example on the Base network. Note that this varies depending on the token you want to import.
In the rare case that the desired network is not available in the drop down menu you need to add the network manually. You can follow this guide to add a custom network. Otherwise continue with the next step.

Paste in the contract address that you pulled from coingecko into the Contract Address field. You will notice that the Symbol and the Decimals are getting fetched automatically so you don't need to worry about that. Once everything is set up you can proceed by clicking Add Token.

This brings you back to the main view of the Manage custom tokens settings. Now the desired token should be listed here. In this example we successfully added a token. You can directly add more custom tokens by repeating the previous steps or start playing around with your new token.
