# Stake TAO on Root

Talisman allows Bittensor users to easily stake their TAO to rootnet or to dTAO alpha on specific subnets. Here we show you how to stake TAO to root.&#x20;

To stake TAO on root:

1. From the wallet, choose your preferred Bittensor account.

2. Hover over your TAO token balance and choose ‘Stake’.

3. Choose ‘Root Staking’ as the staking type.

4. Choose the amount you wish to stake and click review

You can select your validator of choice by clicking on the pill.<br>

4\. Review the transaction and click confirm.

5. You’ve now successfully staked TAO!
