# Supplemental Terms

**Scope and Applicability** 

1. These Supplemental Terms govern your access to and use of the Talisman dTao Dashboard (the “Dashboard”), including all associated features for viewing, analysing, staking, and unstaking within the Bittensor network. These Supplemental Terms are in addition to, and form part of, the Talisman Terms of Use. In the event of any conflict, these Supplemental Terms shall prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
2. The Dashboard provides an interface for interacting with the Bittensor network and its dynamic TAO (“dTAO”) mechanism. By using the Dashboard, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Supplemental Terms.
3. Talisman may update these Supplemental Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Dashboard following any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

**Definitions**

In these Supplemental Terms, unless the context otherwise requires:

“Alpha Token” means a subnet-specific token received by a user when staking TAO to a validator on a particular Subnet through the dTAO mechanism. Each Subnet has its own Alpha Token denomination (e.g., α, β, γ, δ). Alpha Tokens represent the user’s staked position in the relevant Subnet.

“Bittensor Network” means the decentralised machine intelligence network operating on the Bittensor blockchain protocol.

“dTAO” means the dynamic TAO mechanism on the Bittensor Network that governs subnet token pricing, emissions, staking dynamics, and the conversion rates between TAO and Alpha Tokens.

“Staking” (or “Buying”) means the process of depositing TAO to a validator on a specific Subnet through the dTAO mechanism, in exchange for Alpha Tokens representing the user’s staked position. The Dashboard may refer to this process as “Buy.”

“Unstaking” (or “Selling”) means the process of relinquishing Alpha Tokens to recover TAO from the user’s staked position on a Subnet. The Dashboard may refer to this process as “Sell.”

“Subnet” means a specialised sub-network within the Bittensor Network, each identified by a subnet number (e.g., SN0, SN1, SN2) and associated with unique Alpha Tokens.

“Validator” means a participant on the Bittensor Network to whom users may delegate stake under the protocol for the purpose of earning rewards.

. Validators are independent third parties and are not operated by, affiliated with, or controlled by Talisman.

“Market Data” means any pricing, volume, market capitalisation, fully diluted valuation, emission rate, TAO-to-Alpha conversion rate, or other quantitative data displayed on the Dashboard.

“Analytics” means any derived metrics, scores, signals, indicators, sentiment data, trade flow analysis, holder statistics, or similar analytical outputs displayed on the Dashboard.

“Dashboard Services” means all functionality provided through the Dashboard, including the interface for Staking and Unstaking, viewing Market Data and Analytics, portfolio position tracking, social feeds, and all related features.

**Staking and Unstaking Services** 

Nature of Services

1. The Dashboard provides a non-custodial interface for Staking TAO to Subnet validators and receiving Alpha Tokens in return, and for Unstaking Alpha Tokens to recover TAO. While the Dashboard interface may use the terms “Buy” and “Sell” for ease of use, these operations are staking and unstaking processes, where the TAO is effectively converted into the respective alpha token, not purchases or sales of tokens on an exchange or trading platform.
2. All Staking and Unstaking operations are executed on-chain through your connected wallet. Talisman does not hold, control, or have access to your TAO, Alpha Tokens, or private keys at any time. When you Stake, your TAO is delegated to a Validator on the Bittensor Network; Talisman is not the recipient of your stake.
3. Talisman acts solely as an interface provider. Talisman is not a broker, dealer, exchange, custodian, financial institution, or financial adviser. The Dashboard Services do not constitute an offer or solicitation to buy, sell, or trade any token or security.
4. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for evaluating the merits and risks of each Staking or Unstaking operation you execute through the Dashboard, including your selection of Validator and Subnet.

**Staking and Unstaking Risks** 

You acknowledge and accept the following risks in connection with any Staking or Unstaking operation executed through the Dashboard:

1. Irreversibility. All blockchain transactions are irreversible once confirmed on the Bittensor Network. Talisman cannot reverse, cancel, or modify any Staking or Unstaking operation after submission.
2. Conversion Rate Volatility. The TAO-to-Alpha Token conversion rate is determined dynamically by the dTAO mechanism and may fluctuate significantly. The rate displayed on the Dashboard at the time you initiate a Staking or Unstaking operation may differ materially from the rate at which your transaction is executed on-chain. You may receive fewer Alpha Tokens (when Staking) or less TAO (when Unstaking) than anticipated.
3. Slippage. Due to the on-chain nature of the dTAO mechanism and varying levels of staking activity on each Subnet, the actual conversion rate of your transaction may differ from the displayed rate. You are solely responsible for understanding and accepting any slippage that may occur.
4. Validator Risk. When you Stake TAO through the Dashboard, your TAO is delegated to a Validator that is an independent third party. Talisman does not operate, control, or vouch for any Validator. Validators may perform poorly, act maliciously, cease operations, or be subject to slashing penalties, any of which may result in the partial or total loss of your staked TAO or Alpha Tokens.
5. Slashing. Staked TAO may be subject to slashing penalties imposed by the Bittensor Network for Validator misbehaviour or underperformance. Slashing may result in the reduction or loss of your staked position. Talisman has no control over slashing parameters and is not liable for any slashing losses.
6. Unstaking Delays. Unstaking operations may be subject to lock-up periods, cooldown periods, or processing delays imposed by the Bittensor Network protocol. During any such period, you may not have access to your TAO, and the conversion rate may change.
7. Failed Transactions. Staking or Unstaking operations may fail due to network congestion, insufficient gas, smart contract errors, or other technical reasons. Network transaction fees may still be incurred for failed operations. Talisman is not responsible for any losses arising from failed transactions.
8. Liquidity Risk. The ability to Unstake Alpha Tokens and recover TAO may be affected by the level of staking activity and liquidity within the relevant Subnet. You may not be able to Unstake at your desired conversion rate, or at all, due to insufficient liquidity in the staking pool.
9. Network Fees. All operations on the Bittensor Network incur network fees. These fees are paid to network participants and are not collected by or paid to Talisman. You are responsible for ensuring sufficient TAO balance to cover transaction fees.

**No guarantee of returns**

1. Staking TAO to a Subnet does not guarantee any return, yield, or reward. The value of Alpha Tokens may decrease after Staking, and you may recover less TAO upon Unstaking than you originally staked. Past performance of any Subnet, Validator, or Alpha Token is not indicative of future results. Emission rates, subnet scores, and staking rewards are determined by the Bittensor Network and may change at any time without notice.

**Market Data and Analytics Disclaimer**

No financial advice

1. The Market Data and Analytics displayed on the Dashboard, including but not limited to price charts, technical indicators (such as SMA, Bollinger Bands, and RSI), sentiment scores, trade flow metrics, momentum indicators, accumulation data, and whale activity tracking, are provided for informational purposes only.
2. No Market Data, Analytics, signal, score, sentiment classification (including “bullish” or “bearish” indicators), or any other information displayed on the Dashboard constitutes financial advice, investment advice, trading advice, or any other form of professional advice. Talisman does not recommend or endorse any particular Subnet, Validator, Alpha Token, or staking decision.
3. You should consult a qualified financial adviser before making any investment or staking decisions. You acknowledge that any decisions made in reliance on Dashboard data are made at your own risk.

Data Accuracy and Timeliness

1. Market Data and Analytics are derived from on-chain data and third-party sources. Talisman does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any data displayed on the Dashboard. Data may be delayed, incomplete, or contain errors.
2. Sentiment scores, combined scores, and similar composite metrics are calculated using proprietary or third-party methodologies that may change without notice. Historical performance indicators are not indicative of future results.
3. Holder statistics, whale activity data, and concentration metrics are derived from on-chain records and may not reflect the complete picture of token ownership. A single entity may hold tokens across multiple addresses, and on-chain data may not capture all relevant ownership structures.

**Bittensor network and dTao-specific Risks**

In addition to the general blockchain risks described in the Talisman Terms of Use, you acknowledge and accept the following risks specific to the Bittensor Network and dTAO:

1. Protocol Risk. The Bittensor Network and the dTAO mechanism are experimental technologies under active development. Protocol upgrades, parameter changes, or bugs may materially affect Alpha Token conversion rates, emission rates, staking rewards, and the operation of the Dashboard.
2. Emission Changes. The rate of token emissions to each Subnet is determined dynamically by the Bittensor Network based on factors including subnet performance and staking activity. Emission rates may change at any time without notice and may affect the value of Alpha Tokens and staking rewards.
3. Subnet Discontinuation. Subnets may be deregistered from the Bittensor Network or cease operations at any time. In such an event, associated Alpha Tokens may lose all value, and you may be unable to Unstake or recover your TAO. Talisman is not responsible for the continued operation of any Subnet.
4. Market Cap and Valuation Data. Fully diluted valuations, market capitalisation figures, and similar metrics displayed on the Dashboard are theoretical calculations based on current conversion rates and total supply. These figures may not reflect realisable value and should not be relied upon for investment decisions.

**Social Feed and Third Party Content** 

1. The Dashboard may display social media content, community posts, and other third-party content related to Bittensor Subnets (“Social Content”). Talisman does not endorse, verify, or assume responsibility for any Social Content displayed on the Dashboard.
2.  Social Content may contain inaccurate information, promotional material, biased opinions, or content intended to manipulate market sentiment. You should not rely on Social Content when making staking, unstaking, or investment decisions.
3. Talisman reserves the right to remove, filter, or moderate Social Content at its discretion, but assumes no obligation to do so.

**Portfolio and Position Data**

1. The Dashboard may display information about your TAO balance, Alpha Token holdings, staked positions, and estimated portfolio value (“Position Data”). Position Data is derived from on-chain information associated with your connected wallet address.
2. Portfolio valuations are calculated using the latest available TAO-to-Alpha conversion rates and may not reflect the amount of TAO you would receive upon Unstaking. Due to varying liquidity levels across Subnets, actual realisable value may differ significantly from displayed values.
3. Talisman does not guarantee the accuracy of Position Data and is not responsible for any discrepancies between displayed and actual balances, staked positions, conversion rates, or rewards.

**Regulatory acknowledgments**

1. You acknowledge that the regulatory status of Alpha Tokens, the dTAO staking mechanism, and decentralised staking platforms is uncertain and evolving across jurisdictions. You are solely responsible for determining whether your use of the Dashboard and Dashboard Services complies with applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.
2. Alpha Tokens and the staking mechanism may be classified differently under the laws of different jurisdictions. Some jurisdictions may classify staking arrangements, Alpha Tokens, or related activities as securities, financial instruments, or regulated digital asset services. Talisman makes no representation as to the legal classification of any Alpha Token or staking activity.
3. Talisman does not provide the Dashboard or Dashboard Services to persons or entities located in, or who are citizens or residents of, any jurisdiction where the provision of such services would be unlawful or would subject Talisman to any registration or licensing requirement. You represent and warrant that you are not located in, and are not a citizen or resident of, any such restricted jurisdiction.
4. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Talisman from and against any claims, liabilities, or penalties arising from your failure to comply with applicable laws and regulations in connection with your use of the Dashboard.

**Limitation of Liability for Dashboard Services**

Without limiting the general Limitation of Liability set out in the Talisman Terms of Use, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

1. Talisman shall not be liable for any loss of TAO, Alpha Tokens, or any other digital assets arising from Staking or Unstaking operations executed through the Dashboard, including losses due to conversion rate volatility, slippage, failed transactions, validator misbehaviour, slashing, or smart contract errors.
2. Talisman shall not be liable for any losses, whether direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental, arising from reliance on Market Data, Analytics, signals, scores, or any other information displayed on the Dashboard.
3. Talisman shall not be liable for any losses arising from changes to the Bittensor Network protocol, dTAO mechanism, subnet scoring, emission parameters, validator operations, or any other aspect of the Bittensor Network that is outside the control of Talisman.
4. Talisman shall not be liable for the unavailability, interruption, or malfunction of the Dashboard, including any failure to display accurate or timely Market Data, Analytics, or conversion rates.

**Acknowledgment and assumption of risk**

By using the Dashboard, you expressly acknowledge and assume all risks associated with:

1. Staking TAO to Subnets and receiving Alpha Tokens, which are highly volatile, speculative, and may result in total loss of your staked TAO;
2. the selection of Validators to whom your TAO is delegated, including the risk of validator underperformance, misbehaviour, or cessation of operations;
3. reliance on Market Data and Analytics that may be inaccurate, delayed, or incomplete;
4. participation in an experimental and evolving decentralised network where protocol rules may change;
5. potential regulatory actions that may affect the availability or legality of the Dashboard, staking services, or Alpha Tokens in your jurisdiction; and
6. the inherent risks of non-custodial wallet-based operations, including the risk of loss from incorrect transaction parameters, compromised private keys, or wallet software errors.
